Mr. Lasky devotes his practice exclusively to immigration and naturalization law. He has a diverse immigration client base, including large international corporations, smaller corporations and businesses, colleges and universities, and individuals. His clients are located in Virginia, throughout the United States and around the world. Regardless of the size or type of client, each case receives the necessary time and attention to achieve the desired goal.
Mr. Lasky handles many different types of immigration matters.�� His practice involves assisting individuals in obtaining permanent and temporary immigration status and citizenship in the United States. He utilizes various methods to obtain permanent resident status. These include employer sponsored petitions, which often involve the labor certification process or multinational executive and managerial transferees, and family sponsored petitions based on a relationship to a United States citizen or permanent resident. Mr. Lasky also assists clients seeking to obtain temporary resident status through a variety of types of classifications, including H-1B specialty occupations, L-1 intracompany transferees, TNs under NAFTA and R-1 religious workers.
Mr. Lasky received a B.A. degree with high distinction from the University of Virginia in 1981, where he was named Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William and Mary in 1984.Mr. Lasky is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Louisiana State Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He was named one of Virginia's Legal Elite in Immigration Law by Virginia Business Magazine and was recognized as one of "The Best Lawyers in America" in the specialty of Immigration Law by Woodward/White, Inc.
