Parastoo Golesorkhi Zahedi is a solo practitioner who has been practicing immigration law since 1989. Ms. Zahedi’s practice ranges from removal, asylum, and citizenship issues to all employment based immigration matters, and family based immigration. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, having served on the Executive Committee of the Washington D.C. Chapter as its Chair for 2007-2008. Before her election as Chapter Chair, she served as the Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair Elect. She is currently serving as the Liaison Chair with the Washington District Office of the USCIS. Previously she served on the AILA National ICE Liaison Committee for 2009-2010 and on the State Department Liaison Committee in 2008-2009. She is a mentor on asylum matters to fellow immigration attorneys nationwide, as well as a frequent panel member at legal education seminars, including the annual AILA conference as well as speaking to the criminal defense bar associations in MD, DC and VA. She received her J.D. in 1988 from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Listed in The Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top immigration lawyers in Washington, D.C.- 2009. Listed in the International Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers-2009 & 2010.
